Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager for a fast-growing photonics and semiconductor manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in procurement and supplier negotiations looking to further their career in chip fabrication.
Build the purchasing and supply chain function from the ground up, including procurement, planning, and inventory processes
Develop supplier resiliency and backup sources to minimize downtime while preserving cash
Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supply agreements; manage supplier relationships and performance
Set inventory targets and reorder points, stocking extra only for critical, repeat points of failure
Track KPIs such as downtime reduction, on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; 7+ years of procurement and supply chain experience with ERP/MRP systems
Semiconductor, chip fabrication, or photonics (PLC/PIC) manufacturing experience; e-vehicle battery experience considered
Vendor negotiation and relationship-building experience with $12-15M in spend, KPI-driven downtime reduction, and stable tenure
Bonus Qualifications
Ability to manage a team within 1-2 years
