    About the Role

    As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring hotel operations run smoothly by supporting the procurement, receiving, inventory, and storeroom functions. Working closely with the Purchasing Director and department leaders, you'll help maintain Hyatt's high standards by sourcing quality products, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of essential goods and services.

    This role combines organization, collaboration, and hands-on operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership of key business processes.

    What You'll Do

    Procurement & Vendor Management

    • Partner with the Purchasing Director to source and procure goods and services required to support hotel operations, including food and beverage products.
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while evaluating vendor performance to ensure quality, reliability, and value.
    • Assist with purchasing activities in accordance with Hyatt and hotel procurement policies and procedures.

    Inventory & Quality Control

    • Support inventory management best practices and conduct regular inventory audits.
    • Ensure all procured products meet Hyatt's quality standards and operational specifications.
    • Maintain liquor rooms, wine storage areas, and bottle-for-bottle inventory systems.
    • Assist with monthly inventory counts, spot checks, and inventory reconciliation to ensure accurate liquor, beer, and wine stock levels.

    Receiving & Storeroom Operations

    • Lead the hotel's receiving processes for deliveries, internal shipments, and guest packages.
    • Oversee the storeroom operation, including receiving, organizing, and storing food and beverage deliveries.
    • Process invoices and packing slips through the hotel's procurement platform and maintain accurate records.
    • Prepare and fulfill daily requisitions in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Deliver packages to departments throughout the hotel as needed.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized loading dock and receiving area at all times.

    Collaboration & Service Excellence

    • Partner with department leaders to understand operational needs and ensure timely fulfillment of requests.
    • Support a positive and efficient working environment through strong communication and teamwork.
    • Provide exceptional service to colleagues, vendors, hotel guests, and delivery partners.

    Qualifications

    • A genuine passion for serving others and supporting team success in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
    • Ability to learn and utilize purchasing and work-order systems such as BirchStreet and TrackIt.
    • Comfortable working under deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
    • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
