 Stanley Electric is offering a rewarding career in Purchasing as a Staff-level Buyer for a highly motivated individual with two years of Buyer experience and proficiency in MRP and Micro Soft Office applications.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Facilitating several active accounts to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations for production lines by:

• Receiving and reviewing quotes to ensure that packaging meets specifications and to control any price changes for materials to attain cost-down during mass production. To coordinate timing of price change with Acct Payable.
• Creating and issuing purchase orders for components after reviewing inventory needs to ensure that production operates without interruption. Perform frequent physical inventory counts to review / evaluate inventory levels meet production requirements.
• Responding to supplier errors and take corrective action by issuing a DTR (delivery trouble report) and a CAR (corrective action request) to suppliers. To prepare accurate monthly in supplier evaluations, and to take actions to correct performance problems.
• Setting up and maintaining stores minimum and maximum based on customer rate of sale. Requires update as conditions change. Minimize overflow condition.
• Expediting of all materials and components due to changes in customer demand, inventory discrepancies, or rejects to ensure the efficient running of production lines.
• Regularly communicating with suppliers about any open issues, problems or concerns to establish that the supplier is meeting the requirements of the purchase order agreement.
• Processing all products in reject area on a daily basis.

 HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:

• You have an Associate’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience described above
• You have 2 years of experience as a buyer, preferably in the automotive industry.
• You are proficient in MRP and Microsoft Office.
• You are a strong negotiator. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.
• Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.
