Key Responsibilities:
Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies.
Stay updated on market trends and changes in supply and demand.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar procurement role.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Knowledge of supply chain procedures and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in procurement (e.g., CPP, CPSM, or equivalent).
Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing].
Working Conditions:
Office-based with occasional travel to supplier sites or trade shows.
