Description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $39.00hr - $40.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
  • Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing purchase requisitions.
  • Ability to investigate and develop sources of supplies.
  • Experience issuing bid requests and preparing bid specifications.
  • Ability to analyze bids, quotes, and proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Design and implement cost effective strategies related to purchasing in the organization.
  • Review and analyze purchase requisitions and evaluate methods for processing improvements.
  • Monitor change orders and recommend improvements in processing.
  • Investigate and develop sources of supplies.
  • Issue bid requests and prepare bid specifications, formal bid invitations, or requests for proposals.
  • Receive and analyze bids, quotes, and proposals to select and award vendors.
  • Administer contracts for requisitioned commodities.
