Purchasing & Packaging Coordinator (A‑Shift)
Overview: Responsible for supporting inventory, packaging, and supply operations at the Grand Island, NE facility. Ensures accurate inventory counts, organized packaging areas, safe trailer loading/unloading, and efficient material flow.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize packaging floor areas
- Load and unload trailers
- Perform inventory counts, receiving, and issuing materials
- Recommend improvements to inventory management
- Identify and correct inventory discrepancies
- Operate computer systems for inventory tasks
- Willing to train on forklift
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Dependable with strong organizational and follow‑up abilities
- Ability to identify issues and escalate when needed
- Knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Lift up to 100 lbs individually; 50 lbs occasionally
- Preferred forklift experience
Working Conditions: Fast‑paced environment, heavy lifting, Monday–Friday schedule with weekends or as needed.
