Location: Frederick, MD (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay: $26.00-$30.00/hour (depending on experience

Position Type: Direct Hire

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to oversee the full purchasing and inventory management process for a growing manufacturing and distribution operation. This is a key individual contributor role with significant ownership and long-term stability.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities from sourcing through order fulfillment
• Create, track, and receive purchase orders within an ERP system
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast supply needs
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
• Resolve vendor issues, returns, credits, and shortages
• Analyze inventory data and prepare reports
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, and leadership teams to support operational needs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• Understanding of inventory planning and forecasting
• Knowledge of freight, logistics, and transportation costs is a plus
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
