    Purchasing & Logistics Agent
    Location: Dothan, AL
    Job Type: Full-Time

    Job Summary
    We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Agent to manage purchasing activities, inventory levels, supplier relationships, and domestic/international logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience coordinating shipments and vendors, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    Responsibilities
    • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
    • Process purchase orders, invoices, and maintain purchasing records
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to support production schedules
    • Resolve issues related to shortages, damaged goods, and order discrepancies
    • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including transportation arrangements and shipment tracking
    • Prepare and process shipping documentation, invoices, bills of lading, export/import documents, and related records
    • Communicate with customers, vendors, freight carriers, and overseas partners to ensure timely delivery
    • Analyze purchasing costs and freight expenses to support cost-saving initiatives
    • Maintain accurate shipment and purchasing files while providing excellent customer service
    Qualifications
    • Manufacturing experience preferred
    • ERP system experience preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
    • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Knowledge of logistics systems and transportation processes
    • Basic understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation
    • Some college preferred
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
