    Description

    A leading Japanese food manufacturer is looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join their team.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Coordinated procurement of ingredients, packaging, and supplies for their production.
    • Created, processed, and tracked purchase orders for the ingredients, and packaging materials.
    • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production planners to determine timely purchasing needs.
    • Ensured on‑time delivery of all materials to meet production schedules.
    • Communicated with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status.
    • Assisted in evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and performance.
    • Resolved order discrepancies, delivery delays, and material quality issues.
    • Maintained accurate purchasing records, pricing lists, contracts, and vendor information.
    • Updated ERP/inventory systems with purchase orders, receipts, and delivery confirmations.
    • Prepared reports on purchasing activity, cost trends, and material usage.
    • Partnered with Production, QA, Finance, and Warehouse teams to support cross‑department operations.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
    • 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, or administrative support (food manufacturing preferred).
    • Strong understanding of procurement workflows and inventory systems.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Detail‑oriented with strong data entry and record‑keeping accuracy.
    • Skilled in vendor communication and relationship management.
    • Basic knowledge of Japanese food manufacturing processes is preferred.
    • Ability to analyze pricing and cost data; team‑oriented mindset.
    • Strong English communication skills are required. Japanese language ability is a plus, but not required.

    Location: Irvine, California (On-site Only)

    Work Hours: Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 5:30pm (1 hour lunch break)

    Salary: $52,000~66,000 annually, depending on experience
