Focus Interpreting is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Punjabi Interpreter to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will provide high-quality interpretation services to facilitate effective communication between Punjabi-speaking individuals and English speakers in various contexts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide accurate interpretation services during meetings, medical appointments, and other engagements involving Punjabi and English speakers.
Ensure clarity in communication by adhering to best practices and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy in all interactions.
Prepare for assignments by researching relevant terminology and understanding specific client needs.
Continuously enhance your language skills and cultural knowledge to better serve clients across different domains.
REQUIREMENTS:
Fluency in both English and Punjabi, with strong oral and written communication skills in both languages.
Excellent listening and analytical skills to ensure precise interpretation.
Strong understanding of cultural nuances that facilitate effective communication.
Prior experience in interpretation, especially in medical, educational, or legal settings, is preferred.
