    A day in this role

You start your morning reviewing the work-in-process (WIP) log you maintain—this living document helps leadership forecast monthly and quarterly billings. You sync with the shop superintendent and your manager to align on production targets for the month, ensuring output and gross profit stay on track. Before lunch, you’re in the shop confirming travelers are properly generated through the Avante system in partnership with the EPR group. By afternoon, you’re visiting an outside contractor’s facility to verify progress and accept the finished product. You close the day by updating account managers on WIP status and prepping a pre-quote inspection for a competitor’s facility visit later in the week.

    • Production coordination with the manager and shop superintendent to meet monthly quotas and gross margin objectives.
    • Flow of work between our shop and outside contractors, including site visits and final acceptance of product.
    • Clear, proactive communication of WIP status to account managers and stakeholders.
    • Accurate WIP logging to support monthly and quarterly billing projections.
    • Collaboration with the EPR group to generate travelers and fully leverage the Avante system.
    • Support for health and safety recordkeeping; assist the shop superintendent with the safety committee and documentation upkeep.
    • Pre-quote inspections at competitors’ facilities; develop detailed proposals and scopes of work compatible with the Hydro Aire Avante system.
    • Partner with EPR test engineers to learn test stand operations and methods; over time, serve as the test floor engineer, supplying data to EPR hydraulic engineers for sign-off and verification test curves.

    • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
