Description

Healthcare United is seeking a Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Physician to join an established, physician-led private practice serving the Greater New Haven and Connecticut shoreline area. This opportunity offers a strong existing patient base, multiple practice locations, competitive compensation and a clear path toward future partnership and equity.

• Provide outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care
• Participate in hospital rounding and limited ICU coverage
• Practice across locations in New Haven, West Haven and Guilford
• Manage approximately 20–30 patients per clinic day
• Participate in a shared call rotation anticipated to be approximately 1 in 5
• Perform or coordinate bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and other pulmonary procedures
• Evaluate and manage patients receiving Inspire sleep apnea therapy
• Utilize Epic integrated with the Yale New Haven Health network
• Work with a dedicated medical assistant, respiratory therapists and authorization support staff
• Access 3 pulmonary function testing machines and 3 established sleep laboratories



Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease
• Critical Care Medicine and/or Sleep Medicine training strongly preferred
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
• Comfortable with outpatient clinic, hospital rounding and limited ICU coverage
• Experience with bronchoscopy and thoracentesis preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume private practice environment
• Strong clinical, communication and team-based care skills
• Interest in establishing a long-term career in Southern Connecticut
