Description

Healthcare United is seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join an established, physician-led private practice serving the Greater New Haven area and Connecticut shoreline. Sleep Medicine training or experience is preferred but not required.

This opportunity offers an established patient base, strong referral volume, multiple clinical locations and access to three established sleep laboratories.

• Provide outpatient pulmonary medicine care
• Participate in hospital rounding and limited ICU coverage
• Manage approximately 20–30 patients per clinic day
• Participate in a shared call rotation anticipated to be approximately 1 in 5
• Perform bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and other pulmonary procedures
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex pulmonary and critical care conditions
• Provide sleep medicine services based on training and interest
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and dedicated support staff
• Practice across locations throughout Greater New Haven and the Connecticut shoreline



Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
• Sleep Medicine training, certification or experience preferred
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
• Comfortable with outpatient clinic, hospital rounding and limited ICU coverage
• Experience performing bronchoscopy and thoracentesis preferred
• Comfortable working in a high-volume private practice environment
• Strong clinical, communication and team-based care skills
• Interest in establishing a long-term career in Southern Connecticut
