    Employment Type: Full Time

    Shift's Available: Days (No Weekends)

    Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

    Location: St. Joseph Medical Group - Pulmonary Physicians

    We are seeking a Pulmonary Certified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments in our orthopedic clinic. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Welcome patients and prepare them for exams and procedures, ensuring a warm and professional environment.
    • Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR).
    • Assist in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
    • Provide patients with educational information regarding procedures, treatments, and preventative care.
    • Help manage appointments, follow-up calls, and patient communications efficiently.
    • Will be responsible for prior authorization and checking benefit information prior to any procedure
    • We provide patients with detailed information regarding any test results.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required
    • Medical Assistant Certification
    • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
    • Minimum one year work experience in public contact job
    • Work experience in health care preferred
