    Description

    The Pulmo Rehab Coordinator performs diversified and confidential duties that may be administrative in nature or project based. Work requires
    broad and comprehensive healthcare experience, skills and a thorough knowledge of organization policies and
    practices. Provides comprehensive payroll office support to ensure payroll deadlines are met in a timely manner
    by performing the following duties. Administers policies relating to pre-hiring and post hiring activity.

     

    Job Responsibilities:

      • Maintains understanding of all human resources policies/procedures and responds to employee inquiries about them, including rehire eligibility, internal transfer eligibility, etc.
        • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to human resources, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature.
          • Collects, inputs, imports, audits, and balances all payroll-related inputs to ensure accurate and timely payment of earnings, deductions, and taxes, compliant with federal and state regulations.
            • Researches and analyzes discrepancies and process appropriate corrections.
              • Calculates special payments and adjustments.
                • Processes historical edits and adjust accrual balances.
                  • Responds to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely professional manner.
                    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws for all entities.
                      • Files all payroll documentation to employee personnel files.
                        • Reviews and inputs information into pre-employment systems to assist in onboarding outside candidates and processing internal transfers.
                          • Reviews and organizes both electronic and paper pre-employment files.
                            • Responds to inquiries from managers regarding status of candidates as required.
                              • Processes background checks by role and location, including coordinating pre-employment drug screenings, physicals, fingerprinting and additional state required screenings.
                                • Works with hospital staff to verify licenses, certifications, and other items as needed prior to employment.
                                  • Verifies patient information in the Meridian Operating System (“MOS”) for benefits, referrals, etc.
                                    • Assists senior management in the overall supervision, administrative planning and control and coordination of the company’s business operations, policies and protocols.
                                      • Maintains records of clinical staff’s licenses, certifications and immunizations on an ongoing basis.
                                        • Monitors compliance with company billing policies and record keeping in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
                                          • Performs other duties as assigned.

                                                  • Ability to perform basic accounting functions, maintains company records and has an understanding healthcare reimbursement requirements.
                                                    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to perform pivots, V-lookups and other functions in Excel.
                                                      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor.
                                                        • General project management experience preferred.
                                                          • Strong analytical and interpretive skills, ability to deliver payroll data in a user friendly and relevant manner.
                                                            • Complete understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and federal, state and local regulations.
                                                              • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
                                                                • Strong customer service skills.
                                                                  • Sensitive to confidential information.

                                                                  Education and Experience:

                                                                    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
                                                                      • Bachelor's Degree in Business Related field Preferred
                                                                        • 2-3 years prior healthcare experience Required
                                                                          • Accounting experience Preferred
