PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR (STREETSCAPE)

Work involves planning, prioritizing and scheduling assigned programs and/or services; supervising, evaluating and training work crews engaged in daily operations; reviewing and approving completed activity; obtaining, allocating and maximizing resources; and preparing and maintaining operational and administrative records. The department is made up of over 200 employees within five distinct divisions who provide service to our residents, businesses, and other City departments to improve and maintain the City's streets, sidewalks, landscaping, traffic, sewers, waste collection, and water systems.

The Department

The Position
The Public Works Supervisor plans and supervises assigned programs and/or services in the Streetscape Division of the Public Works Department. Assigned programs and/or services include tree trimming, removals and landscape median maintenance within the street right-of-way or other easements.  Work involves planning, prioritizing and scheduling assigned programs and/or services; supervising, evaluating and training work crews engaged in daily operations; reviewing and approving completed activity; obtaining, allocating and maximizing resources; and preparing and maintaining operational and administrative records.
