Public Utility Regulation Manager (Hybrid)
Starting Salary Range: $116,750-$140,000
The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks a Public Utility Regulation Manager interested in a rewarding public service career. Located in downtown Richmond, the SCC is an independent state agency that balances the interests of citizens, businesses, and customers in regulating Virginias economic and business interests. The Division of Public Utility Regulation (PUR) provides support to the Commission in its regulation of Virginias investor-owned electric, member-owned electric cooperatives, natural gas, water and sewer utilities, and the telecommunications industry. The PUR Manager will lead a team of 3 staff members in the investigation of utility proposals submitted to the SCC requesting revisions to customer rates and similar proposals, with a primary emphasis on evaluating how the utility proposes to allocate and recover costs from its customers. This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, including 2 days in office and 3 days of teleworking each week.
