The Prince William County Sheriff's Office is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Public Safety Technician in support of our Office of Professional Standards Division. This position entails direct interaction with all levels of staff providing essential operational support. The key qualities we are looking for is someone who communicates clearly and concisely; is self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable; possesses strong observational skills and attention to detail; and is dedicated to delivering exceptional service.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

As a Public Safety Technician, you will be handling various tasks, including but not limited to, contacting vendors; sourcing and managing inventory of uniforms, protective gear, and essential public safety supplies; coordinating supply deliveries; receiving orders and ensuring order accuracy and delivery; replenishing stock; fostering vendor relationships; tracking and forecasting supply needs based on demand and operational requirements; overseeing uniform fitting, alterations, and distribution for new and existing personnel; maintaining accurate records in our logistics management system; troubleshooting; inputting data; filing; answering phones; collaborating with leadership to ensure compliance with uniform and equipment standards; and providing administrative support to staff as needed.

PREFERENCES:

Experience working in a law enforcement, public safety, or uniform supply environment

One (1) year of experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management

One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications

Experience and knowledge of the Inventory Management System, PS Trax

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

HIRING RANGE:

Entry hourly rate range is $21.14 - $32.17.

FLSA:

Non-Exempt

SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday (40 hours a week).
