Description
Title: Public Health Program Director
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)

Note:
- 37.5 hours per week
- This hybrid position has in-person attendance expected for the first day of employment for
- laptop deployment and onboarding in Nashville, TN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement evidence-based programs/initiatives to address tobacco prevention among
- youth and young adults.
- Assist and support schools with the implementation of tobacco prevention and cessation
- initiatives.
- Work with the tobacco team to plan and implement youth engagement trainings for tobacco
- prevention.
- Participate in regular trainings, workshops, conferences, and meetings related to tobacco
- prevention and control and the FHW division.
- Develop and maintain cooperative, collaborative, working relationships with internal and
- external stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Updates and uses relevant knowledge to support the implementation of health education
- interventions and programs for the community.
- Identifies the educational needs of others, supports program staff in the development of
- educational training programs or classes, and teaches and instructs others.
- Assists with the design and delivery of relevant training programs for health department
- employees, teachers, and other professionals
- Prepare and distribute program materials to internal and external stakeholders that conduct
- tobacco prevention programs.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in health
- education, biology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in public health, education, or related field
- Able to complete and prioritize tasks while working remotely.
