Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement evidence-based programs/initiatives to address tobacco prevention among youth and young adults.
Assist and support schools with the implementation of tobacco prevention and cessation initiatives.
Work with the tobacco team to plan and implement youth engagement trainings for tobacco prevention.
Participate in regular trainings, workshops, conferences, and meetings related to tobacco prevention and control and the FHW division.
Develop and maintain cooperative, collaborative, working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives.
Updates and uses relevant knowledge to support the implementation of health education interventions and programs for the community.
Identifies the educational needs of others, supports program staff in the development of educational training programs or classes, and teaches and instructs others.
Assists with the design and delivery of relevant training programs for health department employees, teachers, and other professionals
Prepare and distribute program materials to internal and external stakeholders that conduct tobacco prevention programs.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in health education, biology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in public health, education, or related field
Able to complete and prioritize tasks while working remotely.
