Public Health Nurse Specialist-Part Time

Position Summary

The incumbent serves as a Public Health Nurse Specialist, determines medical eligibility of applicants and provides prior authorization of services to families of participants with serious, chronic medical conditions to obtain medical treatment related to the participant's medical condition. The incumbent provides consultation to local agencies and interprets Children's Special Health Care Services program policies to participants, families, providers and the public.

This position is part-time 22.5 hours per week. This is a hybrid position. Working two days remote and one day in office. This position is for a one-year period with evaluation at the end of the period. Must have basic computer knowledge.
