Job Overview:
Pay Range: $45.84hr - $50.84hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience with SAS and SQL.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and/or ArcGIS.
- Knowledge of public health surveillance, healthcare data systems, and epidemiologic methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct epidemiologic surveillance and analysis of healthcare utilization, capacity, workforce, and service delivery data.
- Monitor syndromic surveillance and other near real-time data sources to identify emerging health system trends.
- Link, clean, and analyze multiple state and federal datasets using SAS, SQL, Snowflake, or similar tools.
- Develop dashboards, maps, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS, and related software.
- Assist with onboarding healthcare facilities to the Automated Capacity Occupancy Reporting Network (ACORN), to facilitate real-time capacity data submission, with technical assistance and data quality review.
- Evaluate surveillance systems and recommend improvements to data quality, validity, and timeliness.
- Support emergency preparedness planning, situational awareness, and public health response activities.
- Develop reports, data briefs, presentations, and policy recommendations for agency leadership and partners.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve health system planning and resilience.
