PART-TIME UNION STATION VOLUNTEER COORDINATORDEPARTMENT: Community and Economic DevelopmentDIVISION: Union Station - Cultural ServicesRate of pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourFLSA: PT up to a maximum of 29 hours per weekGENERAL PURPOSEThe Union Station Volunteer Coordinator attracts trains, schedules, engages and supports volunteers to assist with daily museum operations to enhance the visitor experience. This position also oversees the museum's guest membership program, including membership advertisement and marketing, enrollment, renewals, benefits, and member communications. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date volunteer and membership records and coordinating on-going volunteer coverage. This position coordinates a variety of programs and experiences designed to enhance the value of membership to encourage continued participation. This position works collaboratively with museum staff to ensure a welcoming and engaging environment for the public. Occasional outdoor work may be required during events and programs.The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Must possess the visual ability to see clearly at close (less than 20 inches) and far (20 feet or more) distances, and judge distances and spatial relationships.Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing.Applicants must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
