Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant to help maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms and public areas while ensuring linens and towels are washed, dried, folded, and stocked to established standards. The ideal candidate works efficiently, follows safety and sanitation procedures, and provides courteous service to guests and coworkers.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and assigned public areas according to established standards.
• Make beds; replace linens and towels; dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize surfaces and fixtures.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other washable items.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and use cleaning products according to labels and procedures.
• Restock guest supplies, housekeeping carts, linen closets, and laundry areas.
• Inspect rooms and linens for cleanliness, damage, stains, or missing items and report concerns promptly.
• Respond courteously to reasonable guest requests and protect guest privacy and property.
• Remove trash and transport soiled linens using proper handling and sanitation practices.
• Maintain clean, organized housekeeping and laundry work areas.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, lost-and-found items, and inventory shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow workplace safety, infection-control, chemical-handling, and security procedures.
• Assist coworkers and complete other housekeeping or laundry duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, hospitality, healthcare, or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions, cleaning procedures, room checklists, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, dependable, and respectful when interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Basic ability to read product labels, safety information, and work assignments.
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a part-time position with hours based on occupancy and operational needs. Availability for mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings may be required. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and applicable law; specific hours, pay, and benefit eligibility will be discussed during the hiring process.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and kneel; operate housekeeping and laundry equipment; and safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. The role may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, heat, moisture, and soiled linens while using required protective equipment.
