Job Title Psychology Peer Advisors - Fall 2026 Department Psychology Job Description/Duties

The Psychology Department at SUNY Cortland is seeking Peer Advisors to support undergraduate students with advising-related questions in the department's peer advising initiative.

• Provides assistance with standard schedule questions, registration processes, technology, and class and curriculum requirements
• Holds peer advising hours for students
• Supports the coordination and administration of the Peer Advisor initiative

Days/Hours Needed

1-2 hours per week

Campus Location/Bldg.

Old Main in person

Required Qualifications

Must be a SUNY Cortland student able to work independently, responsibly, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Psychology major (Senior or Junior)
• Experience as a TA, OA or RA preferred
• Experience with peer mentoring or advising
• Strong academic standing
