What Youll Do
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews
- Collaborate with mental health team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate patient care
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans for inmates/residents
- Perform regular rounds in confinement areas to assess mental health and adjustment
- Provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and risk assessments as needed
- Use evidence-based therapies and techniques for client management
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to ensure well-rounded care delivery
What You Need
Required:- Active or eligible license to practice as a Psychologist in Mississippi
- BLS certification (or pending attestation)
- Experience in mental health assessment and counseling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:- At least 1 year of experience in correctional or mental health settings
- Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques
