Description

Job Description: 
  • Supervision: Oversee the Psychology Assistant positions at the facility, ensuring high standards of care and professional development.
  • Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive psychology services, including testing, diagnosis, counseling, therapies, treatments, policy development, and data analysis.
  • Human Rights Advocacy: Chair the Human Rights Committee, ensuring all restrictive measures are necessary, humane, and appropriate, with consideration of individuals' personal history and trauma.
  • Crisis Management: Assess individuals with suicidal thoughts and implement effective safety measures.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure residents receive the highest quality services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to regulatory standards to maintain the health and safety of residents.
  • Staff Training: Train staff on psychology-related topics and conduct presentations to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Professional Development: Attend training sessions to maintain your professional license and stay updated on best practices.

Location: 
Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities – Tiffin Developmental Center

Requirements: 
  • Licensed to practice psychology in Ohio under Sections 4732.09 and 4732.21 of the Ohio Revised Code.
  • At least 12 months of experience as a licensed psychologist.
  • Experience in employee training and development or 3 months of providing work direction and training or supervision to psychology students, assistants, or fellow psychologists.
  • Professional Skills: Analyzation, Collaboration, Confidentiality, Developing Others, and Interpreting Data.
  • Technical Skills: Counseling & Rehabilitation, Data Analysis, Management, Mental Health, and Psychology.

Pay Rate:
$98/hr. Based on a 40 hr. week
Workdays and hours will vary to meet the needs of individuals residing at the facility.
