About the Opportunity

Alicja Steiner, M.D., APC is expanding its outpatient TMS and interventional psychiatry program and is seeking a psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director of this growing initiative. This is more than a clinical role — it is an opportunity to help build and standardize a cohesive, integrated care model alongside trusted pain management partners.

What distinguishes this position is its collaborative foundation. The program operates across two locations in partnership with two community pain management physician practices, creating a structure that expands patient access geographically and provides the Medical Director with broader clinical hours and a more diverse caseload than a single-site role typically offers.

This is a program being shaped — not just staffed. The right candidate will help define protocols, build clinical relationships, and establish a model of integrated psychiatric and pain care that serves patients across both practices.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Psychiatric evaluations and candidacy assessments
• TMS candidacy screening and evaluation
• Initial and repeat MTD mapping sessions
• Treatment protocol development and oversight
• Collaboration with clinical and administrative staff
• Cross-practice coordination across both sites

Schedule & Compensation

• Monthly Medical Director stipend
• Daily rate for clinic services rendered
• Part-time or full-time schedule availability
• Two clinical locations: San Diego and La Mesa

The dual-site structure provides greater scheduling flexibility and the ability to serve a higher volume of patients, an advantage for both clinical impact and earning potential.
