Work Mode: Onsite
Duration: 40-hour weekly assignment with significant evening/night coverage
Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient psychiatric care and medication management
Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies
Lead medical codes and manage behavioral crises and acute psychiatric issues
Round on patients requiring elevated observation (1:1 or Q15)
Complete incident reports and restraint/seclusion documentation
Coordinate transfers to outside emergency departments when needed
Provide urgent medical and psychiatric coverage during assigned shifts
Requirements:
Active, unrestricted New York medical license
Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
Minimum 3 years post-residency experience
Enrolled and eligible for Medicare and NY Medicaid
