    Are you a passionate Psychiatrist seeking a leadership role that combines clinical excellence, teaching, and program development? Hartford HealthCare''s The Shores Mental Health, the flagship behavioral health service line of Hartford Healthcare's Fairfield region and primary teaching hospital for Quinnipiac University's Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, is seeking a Medical Director for our Adult Mood Disorders Inpatient Unit to lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team while shaping the next generation of psychiatrists through resident and medical student education.

    As the clinical leader of the Adult Mood Disorders Unit, you will play an integral role in patient care, faculty development, and academic advancement within one of New England''s largest and most comprehensive behavioral health systems.

    Position Highlights

    • Medical Director leadership role within a specialized Adult Mood Disorders Unit
    • Lead and collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team
    • Provide direct inpatient psychiatric care to adults experiencing mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders
    • Participate in resident supervision and medical student teaching
    • Academic appointment eligibility through Quinnipiac University''s Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine
    • Dedicated academic time with Hartford HealthCare''s Psychiatry Residency Program
    • Monday through Friday schedule
    • No required after-hours call
    • Optional moonlighting opportunities for additional income
    • Access to Hartford HealthCare''s Provider Leadership Development Institute and Office of Provider Wellness

    • 76-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital in Westport
    • Adult, dual diagnosis, and child/adolescent inpatient services
    • Emergency Department and consult-liaison psychiatry services
    • Geriatric psychiatry services
    • Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
    • Outpatient behavioral health clinics throughout Fairfield County

    Qualifications

    • MD or DO degree
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
    • Eligible for unrestricted Connecticut medical license
    • Interest in academic psychiatry, teaching, and leadership
    • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare
