Psychiatrist, CPEP Nocturnist

Our client, a leading academic medical center dedicated to serving its diverse community, is hiring a Psychiatrist, CPEP Nocturnist to join its dynamic behavioral health team. Provide critical overnight coverage in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), working 3-4 weekdays or weekend overnights to complete a 40-hour weekly schedule. Responsibilities:

• Deliver inpatient and emergency psychiatric assessments and consultation services during overnight shifts.
• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and stabilize patients in crisis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Engage in teaching and supervising psychiatry residents, fostering their clinical development.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols to enhance emergency psychiatric services.

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
• Valid New York State Medical License, DEA, and Medicaid number.
• Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure emergency settings.
• Strong communication skills and capacity for teamwork in a diverse environment.
