    Position Summary

    The organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join a dedicated and collaborative behavioral health team in Shelton, Connecticut.

    Essential Position Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
    • Provide ongoing medication management and supportive psychotherapy.
    • Diagnose and manage a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
    • Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, nurses, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive mental health strategies.
    • Support community wellness and behavioral health initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

    Training: Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.

    Licensure: Eligible for or currently holds a Connecticut medical license.

    Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

    Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates and recent residents are welcome to apply.
