Responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing or ruling out mental disorders, prescribing treatments, and conducting regular follow-up appointments to monitor the patient's progress. Researching new developments in psychiatry and mental health.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Assessing patients through interviews, observations, tests, and medical history reviews.
2. Diagnosing patients accurately.
3. Developing comprehensive treatment plans and prescribing medication as needed.
4. Consulting with other medical professionals and psychologists.
5. Regularly following up with the patient to check progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
6. Thoroughly documenting each patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medication, treatment effectiveness, etc.
7. Providing patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder.
8. Researching new developments in psychiatry and mental health.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
