    Description

    What We Offer:

    Location: Presbyterian Medical Center
    Shift/Hours: Full time, 5 days per week, 2:45pm-11:15pm, 1 weekend per month

     

    The Psychiatric Tech Sr is responsible for assisting with care of psychiatric patients from young adults up the age continuum through geriatrics under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. They serve as a role model and mentor for the psychiatric techs and display a high level of knowledge regarding therapeutic interaction, milieu management, and safety behaviors.

    What You'll Do:
    • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. 
    • Experience: Two years in a direct care role in a behavioral healthcare setting, required. One to two years in a supervisory/managerial role, preferred. 
    • Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
    • Additional Skills (preferred):
      • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care philosophy and ability to care for patients utilizing a trauma informed approach.
      • Ability to perform all CPI physical holds.
      • Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder age specific patients within the facility.
