What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate care for hospitalized psychiatric patients
- Assist with daily living activities and monitor vital signs
- Respond promptly to safety concerns and emergencies
- Document patient data accurately using computer systems
- Follow facility policies and standards, including Joint Commission and CMS guidelines
- Maintain CPR certification and perform lifesaving procedures when necessary
- Support the mental health team in creating a safe, therapeutic environment
What You Need
Required:- Proven experience as a psychiatric mental health tech/aide
- Willingness to work at Terrell State Hospital with patients who may have dual diagnoses
- Valid BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to adhere to HHSC immunization, drug testing, and fingerprinting requirements
- Commitment to following hospital policies and procedures
Preferred:- Experience working in a mental health facility
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
