    Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Pediatrics–Adults) – South Peninsula Hospital

    Location: Homer, Alaska

    Position Type: Full-Time (4×10 schedule)

    South Peninsula Hospital is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient Behavioral Health team. This is a chance to practice meaningful, longitudinal psychiatric care in a supportive environment with strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

    Schedule & Work-Life Balance

    • Four 10-hour clinic days per week
    • No call
    • Outpatient-only role

    Scope of Practice & Clinical Environment

    • Outpatient psychiatry caring for pediatric through adult populations
    • Epic EMR with systemwide rollout
    • Dragon dictation and DAX ambient scribe technology
    • Plans to expand services with additional counselors and group therapy options
    • Dedicated spaces for patient privacy and counseling

    Support Staff & Team Structure

    • Join a Behavioral Health team that includes:
      • 1 Psychiatrist
      • 1 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
      • 1 LCSW (with active hiring plans for additional counselors)
    • Nursing and administrative support integrated across the clinic
    • Collaborative team approach with access to primary care and specialty services as needed

    Qualifications

    • At least one year of outpatient clinical experience after completing training
    • Eligible for Alaska licensure
    • Comfortable working with pediatric through adult patients
