Job Title: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner works with a team of professional social workers, clinicians, case managers, and others to ensure integrated care for adults experiencing serious mental illness. As a member of the client care team, the PMHNP will establish therapeutic relationships to facilitate client progress with treatment goals.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing along with the appropriate Nurse Practitioner certification required
• Psych certification or candidate must be working towards psych certification
• Unrestricted, current, and complete State of Vermont APRN license required (or ability to attain upon employment)
• Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring medical conditions required
• Demonstrated current knowledge of psychiatric medications
• Solid computer skills and familiarity with operating an Electronic Medical Record required
• Ability to demonstrate compassion, sensitivity, and reasoning skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire
