This psychiatric provider works as a member of the integrated behavioral health program in Outside In's medical clinics. Provides Care for diverse population of patients in Federally Qualified Health Centers and outreach sites. Outside In provides care to patients with current and historical barriers to access health care.. This position provides psychiatric consultation, medication management, assessment, mental health and substance abuse treatment referral and provides support to primary care team around prescribing and issues of psychiatric care.

Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge
Knowledge and understanding of adolescent development, Trauma Informed Care, Stages of Change Theory, harm reduction and Motivational Interviewing.
Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
Knowledge of psychotropic medication.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and focus on data collection.
Ability to work with a variety of clients and diagnostic categories.
Ability to work with a diverse population and interact effectively with different types of people.
Good communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Skills
Spanish fluency
Experience in primary care and or with Federally Qualified Health Centers.
Experience working with people who have experienced barriers to accessing mental and physical health care.
Education and Experience
State Board recognized medical education
Oregon state license
Currently holds or able to obtain dispensing license in Oregon
Experience with underserved population is highly desirable

Working Conditions
This job is located in a standard office environment. There is some exposure to outdoor weather while walking to surrounding sites.
Physical Requirements
Must pass pre-employment background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
