About the Role:New Day Health Systems is looking for a passionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in Catonsville, MD. Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and medication management protocols
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
Requirements:- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- DEA license and prescriptive authority in Maryland
- Experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and psychopharmacology
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and evidence-based psychiatric treatment modalities
- Excellent communication, empathy, and patient engagement skills
- Experience with EHR/EMR documentation systems preferred
