Job Position: Provisioning Technician

Location: Austin, TX 78724

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Shift: 8: 30AM to 5: 30PM

Description: Our client is a wholesale provider of telecommunications equipment. The Provisioning Technician configures, tests, and prepares IP phones and related equipment for shipment to customers. This role ensures devices are accurately provisioned according to customer and service provider requirements, quality standards, and shipping deadlines. The position also supports warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory management as needed.

Provisioning Duties:
-Configure and provision IP phones based on customer and service provider requirements.
-Program device settings including SIP credentials, firmware, feature keys, VLANs, and button layouts.
-Verify device information, test functionality, and perform firmware updates before shipment.
-Troubleshoot provisioning or hardware issues and ensure quality standards are met.
-Prepare customer deployment kits, including phones, accessories, documentation, labels, and asset tags.
-Maintain accurate provisioning records and protect customer data.

Warehouse Operations:
-Assist with picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
-Verify order accuracy, serial numbers, and documentation before shipment.
-Support inventory replenishment, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
-Cross-train across operations to provide backup support during peak workloads.

Qualifications:
-Basic knowledge of VoIP, SIP, IP telephony, and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
-Familiarity with IP phone manufacturers such as Yealink, Poly, Cisco, Grandstream, Fanvil, or similar.
-Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
-Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP, WMS, or order management systems.

Preferred:
-Experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments.
-Knowledge of automated provisioning or zero-touch deployment.
-Telecommunications or networking certifications.
