What You'll Do As a Nurse Practitioner at HealthWorks, you'll play an important role in providing accessible, high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population. Your responsibilities will include: - Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, wellness visits, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, and health screenings.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions within your scope of practice.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists and community resources when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
