Prototype & Fabrication Specialist

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, or prototype manufacturing.
• Strong skills in manual machining, especially on mills such as Bridgeport.
• Experience with sheet-metal fabrication, press brakes, and general metalworking techniques.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, and CAD prints.
• Capability to measure, layout, drill, tap, and assemble mechanical components.
• Experience building fixtures, jigs, tooling, or prototypes is preferable.
• CNC experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble manufacturing aids such as fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
• Operate manual milling machines, small presses, saws, drill presses, and grinders.
• Fabricate components by drilling, tapping, boring, milling, bending, and fitting.
• Perform welding and modify prototypes or existing fixtures to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and refine designs or prototypes.
