    Description

    We are looking for a Prototype Analyst to support Master Parts List (MPL) management and validation, change management, system alignment, and prototype production/build activities.

    This role will work closely with prototype engineering, internal engineering teams, partner companies, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate parts data, build information, and system records throughout the prototype development process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create, maintain, and validate Master Parts Lists (MPL) for prototype builds.
    • Work with internal engineering teams and partner companies to ensure accurate parts and build information.
    • Perform regular Bill of Materials (BOM) to MPL alignment checks and resolve discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with Prototype Engineering to incorporate process-related data into the MPL.
    • Perform regular data validation and accuracy checks.
    • Manage changes by reviewing, approving, and executing Change Management tickets.
    • Analyze, debug, and correlate data during transfers between different systems and platforms.
    • Maintain accurate part and build information across systems.
    • Communicate regularly with warehouse teams regarding part availability and status.
    • Support part shortage meetings and provide clear updates on critical issues.
    • Participate in deviation meetings and ensure approved changes are accurately reflected in the MPL.
    • Track and communicate part status throughout prototype builds.
    • Support Change Review Boards and help implement last-minute changes accurately.
    • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and other issues that could impact prototype builds.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Management, or a related field.
    • Experience managing and validating Master Parts Lists (MPL) or similar parts/BOM data.
    • Strong understanding of Product Data Management (PDM).
    • Strong data analysis, validation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with change management processes and tools.
    • Ability to analyze, debug, and correlate complex data across multiple systems.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with engineering, warehouse, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
    • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
    • Previous experience in automotive, EV, or prototype development environments.
    • Understanding of vehicle architecture and vehicle systems.
    • Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
    • Experience supporting prototype builds or production-related activities.

    2. PDM/PLM knowledge and experience managing product/parts data across systems.
