About the Role:
Maverick Trading is hiring self-directed traders to trade firm capital in the US equity and equity options markets. Traders work under a performance-based independent contractor agreement, managing a firm-funded account within defined risk parameters. This is a production role for people who want to trade professionally inside a structured, rules-based program, not a sales, analyst, or client-facing position.

This is a fully remote position. You can trade from anywhere with a reliable connection, and there is no on-site requirement at any point. Open to candidates located in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

• Trade firm-funded accounts in equities and equity options according to an approved written trading plan
• Operate within the firm's risk framework, including position sizing, defined-risk structures, and maximum drawdown limits
• Build, document, test, and refine a trading plan in coordination with an assigned coach
• Evaluate setups using technical and fundamental criteria, including earnings cycles, implied volatility, and broader market conditions
• Maintain a detailed trade journal and submit performance reports for periodic review
• Participate in scheduled coaching sessions, trade reviews, and team calls
• Complete the firm's training and evaluation program before trading at full capital allocation

Requirements:

• Eligible to contract as an independent contractor in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom
• Working knowledge of technical analysis, including chart structure, support and resistance, and common indicators
• Familiarity with options mechanics, including calls, puts, spreads, and the effect of implied volatility on pricing
• Demonstrated ability to follow a defined process consistently under volatile conditions
• Comfortable with 100% remote work, regular written reporting, and receiving direct coaching feedback
• Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated home workspace available during US market hours
• Prior trading experience in equities or options is preferred; structured training is provided
• Familiarity with platforms such as TradingView or Interactive Brokers TWS is helpful but not required

Compensation:
This is an independent contractor position compensated through a share of net trading profits generated on firm capital, tiered by performance. There is no base salary or hourly wage. Full contract terms, risk parameters, and program details are reviewed with candidates during the interview process.
