Proposal Specialist

Job Summary

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Proposal Specialist to join our expanding DSI Tech team! As a Proposal Specialist, you have the chance to work with one of the most successful technology solutions providers in the country. You will collaborate with a team of professional proposal developers. You will be responsible for coordinating and creating winning proposals for our Government customers.

This is a contract position. Candidates from outside USA will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of proposal development, from opportunity analysis to final submission, in response to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather accurate, relevant content and ensure alignment with client needs
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible, benefits-driven language tailored to diverse audiences
• Ensure all proposals meet internal quality standards and comply with legal, regulatory, and client-specific requirements
• Manage proposal timelines, content libraries, and version control using industry-standard tools
• Support contract development and assist in reviewing terms to ensure alignment with company policies
• Continuously improve proposal processes, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and uphold data security standards
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support business development and operational excellence
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive and proprietary information
• Consistently adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with department heads, managers, colleagues, and customers
• Communicate information clearly and concisely, presenting ideas and reporting facts in a professional manner
• Manage personal workflow efficiently, proactively resolving issues and seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team and organizational goals

Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Technical Writing, or a related field
• Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in proposal and/or technical writing, proposal writing, journalism, communications, business writing, or similar fields in order to write in a very persuasive manner
• Strong understanding of the tech industry, including software development lifecycles, cloud services, or enterprise solutions
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experienced in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat to support formatting compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Microsoft Copilot will be counted as a plus.
• Results-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about RFP development and coordination of all the components of this process.
• Effective decision-making and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, agile environment
