What You'll Do:
- Guide residential and commercial property owners through the property tax loan process, from initial consultation and application to final closing.
- Explain loan options, financing terms, repayment obligations, and required disclosures in a clear, professional, and approachable manner.
- Collect, review, and process loan applications while ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Prepare and review required pre-closing disclosures with borrowers to support transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain strong referral relationships with Texas CPAs, real estate brokers, attorneys, title companies, and other industry professionals.
- Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and servicing teams to facilitate timely loan approvals, closings, and loan system setup.
- Maintain accurate borrower records and ensure all transactions comply with Texas property tax lending regulations and internal procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers navigating financially sensitive situations.
- Active Texas Residential Mortgage Loan Originator License required; licensing issued through the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (OCCC) is preferred.
- Must be physically located in Texas, with the ability to work remotely.
- Previous loan origination experience, preferably in property tax lending, mortgage lending, or another secured lending environment.
- Strong understanding of loan applications, borrower disclosures, financial documentation, and lending compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
- A compassionate, customer-focused approach when assisting property owners experiencing financial challenges.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines.
- A proactive, relationship-driven mindset with the ability to develop and maintain professional referral networks.
- Established relationships with Texas CPAs, mortgage brokers, attorneys, title companies, or other potential referral sources.
- Experience using The Mortgage Office loan servicing platform or a comparable loan origination or servicing system.
- Familiarity with Texas property tax lending regulations and loan closing requirements.
- Experience managing the complete loan origination lifecycle, from borrower inquiry through funding.
