Manager - Mobile Home Park

Location: Hayward, CA - Fully Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am – 5pm

Employment Type: Contract-to-Perm

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mobile Home Park Manager to oversee the daily operations of a well-established, family-owned 265-unit, 55+ community in Hayward. The Manager will be responsible for resident relations, financial and administrative functions, property operations, and oversight of onsite staff and vendors.

 

The Manager will work closely with an experienced Assistant Manager as well as the company's back-office and asset management teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Administrative

  1. Manage rent collection, including receiving payments, logging income, and processing deposits.
  2. Track late payments, make collection calls, and enforce established late-payment procedures.
  3. Manage general office paperwork and day-to-day administrative responsibilities.
  4. Monitor expenses against established budgets and work with management and the asset management team on budgeting and forecasting.
  5. Maintain accurate lease and maintenance records.
  6. Keep tenant information and records current.
  7. Maintain required property and compliance documentation.

 

Resident Relations & Community Operations

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for resident questions, requests, concerns, and disputes.
  2. Enforce community rules and work with residents to resolve neighborhood disputes and conflicts.
  3. Work with the resident board/association on community activities, schedules, property matters, and safety updates.
  4. Organize and coordinate community events and activities.
  5. Coordinate content and distribution of the monthly resident newsletter.

 

Property, Maintenance & Compliance

  1. Help ensure the property, common areas, and community facilities are properly maintained.
  2. Coordinate maintenance needs with onsite staff and third-party vendors.
  3. Assist with vendor bidding, selection, scheduling, and oversight.
  4. Maintain required maintenance, equipment, and compliance logs and coordinate onsite inspections as needed.
  5. Supervise and coordinate the work of the Assistant Manager and part-time Maintenance Technician.

 

Qualifications

  1. Previous property management, community management, or related experience.
  2. Experience with resident/tenant relations and day-to-day property operations.
  3. Comfortable handling rent collection, recordkeeping, expense tracking, and basic budgeting responsibilities.
  4. Experience supervising staff and coordinating third-party vendors.
  5. Strong communication, organization, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
