Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a Colorado Gaming License and a valid Drivers license.
Schedule is four x 10 hr days that include working weekends and overnights. Performs carpentry services to support and protect the physical assets of the casino and hotel, as directed. Responds promptly to requests for maintenance and carpentry assistance. Day and Night shifts are available.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Requires excellent customer service and communication skills, experience using and maintaining hand and power tools, and knowledge of pertinent building codes and OSHA regulations. Flexible work schedules are required at times.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or the equivalent in education or experience. Completion of a Trade School Education in carpentry is preferred. Three (3) or more years of recent and related carpentry trade experience, preferably as a welder, painter, or carpenter.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a good driving record. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrated general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems. Knowledge of associated OSHA regulations. Experience using small power tools and general construction is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties may involve working in small, confined areas, with floors that may become slippery in the process of conducting work activities. Essential duties require lifting 50 to 75 pounds to stack, store, or move materials, supplies, and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible work week with additional hours occasionally required. In the event of a facility emergency, the incumbent must be on-call and available.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$21.00 - $23.00 an hour Depending on experience.
