    Description

    A fast-growing, client-focused public adjusting firm is seeking an experienced Property Insurance Claims Adjuster to join its team. This is a primarily office-based role centered on managing claims from intake through resolution, with occasional field involvement for inspections and collaboration with carriers, engineers, and other experts.

    This position plays a key role in advancing claims, driving strategy, and securing optimal outcomes for clients through effective negotiation and detailed claim presentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage claims throughout the full lifecycle, from initial review to final settlement
    • Analyze estimates, engineering reports, policy language, and supporting documentation
    • Develop and submit comprehensive, well-supported claim packages
    • Negotiate directly with insurance carriers to achieve favorable outcomes
    • Partner with estimators, contents specialists, and external experts to strengthen claim strategy
    • Participate in joint inspections and site visits as needed
    • Maintain organized files and provide consistent client communication

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of property insurance adjusting experience (carrier or public side)
    • Strong understanding of property policies, coverage interpretation, and claims handling
    • Experience with both residential and commercial property losses
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive claims
    • Professional, client-first mindset
    • NY Public Adjuster License or willingness to obtain
