This role manages a team of Property Accountants and partners closely with operations and senior leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.The ideal candidate brings deep property management accounting experience within multifamily housing environments and is comfortable leading a team while managing multiple deadlines across a portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of multifamily propertiesReview and approve monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and cash activityEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAPServe as a primary point of contact for third-party stakeholders regarding financial reporting and related mattersOversee financial transitions for property acquisitions and dispositionsPartner with operations on annual budgets, reforecasts, funding requests, and financial statement preparationLead, mentor, and manage a team of Property Accountants, including performance management and developmentSupport monthly, year-end, and audit requirements in collaboration with senior leadershipManage multiple priorities and deadlines across various property management systemsQualifications (Non-Negotiable Requirements):Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required5–7+ years of property management accounting experience within multifamily housingExperience supporting affordable housing portfolios5+ years of leadership experience managing Property AccountantsStrong working knowledge of GAAPExperience managing a portfolio of multifamily properties (corporate or development-only accounting experience will not be considered)Ability to operate independently in a deadline-driven environmentEEO StatementAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
